The article reveals the need to create a separate subsystem as part of the Unified State Emergency Prevention and Response System in the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation (hereinafter the Arctic zone). The article gives a brief description of the territory, and reveals the factors determining the need for its allocation into a separate subsystem.
