The article is devoted to problematic issues arising during the operation of modern fire and rescue equipment in units of the state fire service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia. Typical problems and breakdowns of fire vehicles were analyzed and summarized. Emphasis is placed on the peculiarities of operation of fire equipment by units of the voluntary fireguard.
