The article assesses the current state of fire and explosion safety of oil industry facilities in the Russian Federation. The results of the analysis of the sequence of development of the accident, accompanied by the occurrence of fires and explosions, at the facilities of oil and petroleum products warehouses (hereinafter Snin).
