An automated method of constructing nomograms of fire resistance of steel structures on the basis of thermal engineering calculation under the influence of different types of “standard fire mode” for different values of critical temperature and reduced thickness has been proposed.

The issues of the influence of temperature action on the change of coercive force by the magnetic method are considered. It was revealed that when exposed to temperature on cold-formed steel objects for 30 minutes at 1100 oC, the coercive force decreases by almost 2 times.

Features of monitoring landslide processes at municipal solid waste landfills using aerial photography materials

The article discusses the problem of monitoring landslide processes in urban landfills of municipal waste, the consequences of which can be salvo emissions of toxic substances into the atmosphere, pollution of water bodies and the occurrence of biological and social emergencies. The results of studies of the territory of the existing waste landfill using aerial photography materials, photogrammetric image processing, construction of a digital terrain model and visual representation of dangerous areas where the body of a landslide is formed are presented.

Use of inert additives to reduce the fire hazard of flammable liquids

Flash point and ignition are among the main indicators of the fire hazard of substances, as they characterize the fire and explosion hazard of vapor-air mixtures above the surface of liquids. The paper experimentally investigated the change in the flash point and ignition of flammable liquids (diesel fuel and industrial oil) with the addition of inert additives − perlite, activated carbon, silica gel, oilcorb and vermiculite. Oil-sorb and vermiculite showed the greatest efficiency. When adding the oil filler to diesel fuel, the flash point in the open crucible increased by 7.8 ° C and approached the ignition temperature.

Automation of solving the problem of atmospheric pollution spread forecasting taking into account the surrounding landscape and buildings

The article considers the problem of atmospheric pollution forecasting spread taking into account the surrounding landscape and development based on mesh models of computational fluid dynamics. A functional model for solving this problem is presented. The feasibility of automating the stages of the investigated area geometric model and the computational mesh constructing, determining the initial conditions, as well as processing the obtained results to reduce the labor intensity of their implementation is justified. Usage example of software developed in the framework of the study, to which this article is devoted, for an automated solution to the problem of atmospheric pollution spread forecasting is given. A comparative analysis of automated operations using the presented software and without it was carried out.

Determination of the area controlled by video cameras of the early fire detection system

The article considers the scheme of the rational arrangement of video cameras of the early fire detection system, which ensures the exclusion of blind sides, as well as coverage of the entire controlled area by surveillance. The analytical dependence has been obtained, which makes it possible to calculate the area of the controlled territory depending on the observation range of the video camera.

The article summarizes and analyzes the research experience of domestic and foreign scientists on the use of water irrigation to increase the fire resistance of translucent enclosing structures. The results of field experiments to determine the criteria for the destruction of conventional and special glasses with water irrigation are presented. Based on the results of the conducted research, the actual area of further research has been determined.

Improving the fire safety of a new composite finishing material by modifying its composition

Previously conducted studies [1] allowed us to approximately assume the nature of the behavior of new composite materials under the influence of heat flow and elevated temperature. As the results showed, the samples of the materials considered are combustible and in fire conditions can become a source of additional danger if they are placed on evacuation routes. In order to reduce the level of flammability, Concept Tree LLC has modified the composition of its products by adding sodium tetraborate (borax) to one of the composites. This work is devoted to the assessment of fire-hazardous properties and the establishment of a fire hazard class of a modified composite material, according to standard GOST methods and thermoanalytical studies.
