This article deals with the problem of teaching practical skills and abilities to use primary fire extinguishing equipment. The most common problem in the field of fire safety is insufficient training in the handling of fire extinguishers. Often, a fire starts with a small source of fire, which can be prevented by localizing it with primary fire extinguishing means. However, improper or inefficient use of fire extinguishers by employees leads to the spread of fire. The article offers a method for teaching practical skills to work with different types of fire extinguishers and extinguish different classes of fire using modern interactive fire extinguishing training complexes.

Coping adaptation of students to overcome academic procrastination

The article is devoted to solving the problem of overcoming academic procrastination in order to improve the quality of training of highly qualified specialists in the field of techno sphere and fire safety. The article introduces for the first time the concept of coping adaptation of students, gives its detailed explanation, and gives its main types. Based on the testing of freshmen of a departmental educational organization, the authors identified the reasons for procrastination. The results obtained prove the inconstancy of coping adaptation, which contributes to the development of personality and is not a dissonance. Based on the analysis of the results obtained, the main conclusions of the practical application of these studies are present.

The issues of developing software for calculating the number of fire protection personnel of an industrial enterprise, which are necessary for the implementation of functions for the prevention of fires and (or) their extinguishing, taking into account the availability of engineering systems of fire protection at the enterprise, are discussed. Using the example of software for calculating the number of fire brigades, which performs functions of extinguishing fires, a description of the main program modules, structures of input-output tables of initial and calculated information is given.

The article presents in a formalized form a scientific task that consists in the development of a scientific and methodological apparatus for substantiating the rational parameters of a radiation monitoring system for detecting local sources of ionizing radiation of terrorist origin. The stages of solving the presented scientific problem are determined. The most acceptable approaches to solving particular problems of assessing the current level of readiness of the radiation monitoring system and substantiating the rational parameters of the radiation monitoring system, taking into account the current level of readiness, are considered.

Application of geoinformation tools for working with big data in the analysis of the spatial distribution of fires

The paper discusses the possibilities of the Python and R programming languages in application to geocoding and analysis of geographical data on fires and their consequences. The paper considers: drawing of static and interactive geographical maps of the initial data on fires, a graph of the density of fires, data on the time of arrival of units, fire areas, as well as the construction of transport accessibility zones and optimal routes. The analytical tools used here can be useful in determining the order of attraction of forces and means of units of fire and rescue garrisons, in particular, in the development of plans for attraction and schedules of visits of forces and means of garrisons to extinguish fires. The analysis procedure described in this paper can be used, taking into account the specifics, for almost any locality in the Russian Federation.

Currently, information resources and digital technologies are actively developing, which are designed to solve some human problems. The authors conducted a study that analyzed the effectiveness of the management center in crisis situations of the EMERCOM of Russia. It was found that employees of the institution are subject to routine work, which affects the irrational use of office time, as well as the constant growth of professional tasks affects the quality of their performance. Therefore, we proposed a model of an automated system designed to solve some of the problems in real time.

A system for modeling and supporting decision-making on the use of forces and means to eliminate wildfires, based on a digital model, implemented in the software “Taiga-Analyst”, is proposed. The system works on the basis of agent-based simulation and allows you to select forces and means to fight a fire, simulate its propagation and elimination with reference to a digital terrain map using a geographic information system. The possibilities and scope of the “Taiga-Analyst” system are described. A decision-making scheme for fighting natural fires is shown, and the use of the system in the process of training fire safety specialists is described.

The article raises the problem of the need to apply “big data”in the practice of the EMERCOM of Russia. It is emphasized that it is necessary to form both database sources and unified tools that ensure the correct processing of statistical data through the use of Big Data methods. A brief description of the methods of Big Data and promising topics of research works in the framework of which these methods can be used are given.
