The article describes the characteristics of sulfur as an explosive and fire hazardous substance, identifies the main sources of sulfur dust formation in the granular sulfur production workshop, examines professional diseases of employees at work with sulfur, considers the technological scheme of sulfur production, proposes a special design of electric filters for capturing sulfur dust, performs mathematical modeling of the process of deposition of sulfur dust on the precipitation electrodes of the electric filter, defines the principle of operation of the proposed electric filters and deduces the dependence of the efficiency of the electric filter on various parameters of its operation.
