This article deals with the problem of teaching practical skills and abilities to use primary fire extinguishing equipment. The most common problem in the field of fire safety is insufficient training in the handling of fire extinguishers. Often, a fire starts with a small source of fire, which can be prevented by localizing it with primary fire extinguishing means. However, improper or inefficient use of fire extinguishers by employees leads to the spread of fire. The article offers a method for teaching practical skills to work with different types of fire extinguishers and extinguish different classes of fire using modern interactive fire extinguishing training complexes.

Coping adaptation of students to overcome academic procrastination

The article is devoted to solving the problem of overcoming academic procrastination in order to improve the quality of training of highly qualified specialists in the field of techno sphere and fire safety. The article introduces for the first time the concept of coping adaptation of students, gives its detailed explanation, and gives its main types. Based on the testing of freshmen of a departmental educational organization, the authors identified the reasons for procrastination. The results obtained prove the inconstancy of coping adaptation, which contributes to the development of personality and is not a dissonance. Based on the analysis of the results obtained, the main conclusions of the practical application of these studies are present.

The article substantiates the urgency of the need to form the innovative competence of graduate students, adjuncts of higher education organizations of the Ministry of emergency situations of Russia, as one of the factors for solving the problem of shortage of highly qualified personnel. The problem issues related to the formation of innovative competence of adjuncts studying in higher education institutions of the Ministry of emergency situations of Russia are briefly described. The article substantiates the need for an integrated approach to solving the problems of training highly qualified personnel, taking into account the directions of innovative development of the Russian Federation.

The article investigates the problem of cohesion of a team of cadets in the first year. The authors investigate the stages and levels of formation of the military collective of cadets in the first year. There is given an analysis of the situation of cohesion of the cadets’ collective in the Siberian Fire and Rescue Academy of the State Fire Service of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia. The methods of work on the development of discipline, tolerance and culture of communication in the academy are highlighted.

Preparing the population on fire safety is the most important state task to preserve the life and health of people, reducing the number of fires and the severity of their consequences. Preparation involves various forms, including propaganda, instructions and education. The article discusses the problems of training in fire safety employed and unemployed population, first of all, the emphasis is on basics of fire safety. The analysis of the problems showed that several important tasks are required including bringing the regulatory legal framework for basics of fire safety in accordance with the Russian legislation on education.

The article describes the problem of laboratory work in electrical engineering in the traditional way. A black box model for restoring the physical picture of processes is considered. The advantages of conducting research in virtual space when the object of study (OS), measuring tools, influencing factors, etc. are presented are mathematical models, electrical circuits embodied on the video terminal, and measuring instruments equipped with all the functions of real OS. The laboratory computer complex of the Siberian Fire and Rescue Academy is presented.

The article deals with the analysis of injuries of cadets of the Ural Institute of the state fire service of the Ministry of emergency situations of Russia. The main causes and circumstances leading to sports injuries are considered, and the nature and severity of the injuries are indicated. The author discusses the competence approach to conducting physical culture and sports classes among the Institute’s cadets. A causal model is constructed that allows us to offer a set of preventive measures aimed at reducing sports injuries among cadets. Special attention is paid to quality management conducting classes and monitoring compliance with preventive measures

The article presents the structural components of the organization of student rescue teams to prevent drowning among schoolchildren: a set of didactic support tools; a universal algorithm for conducting a training quest; an «alarm case» for a preventive training event; targeted multi-stage practice-oriented training of volunteers. The effectiveness of preventive work of volunteers is shown by the example of the social project «Water, ice and safety rules».

The article is devoted to the study of the process of automated assessment of students competence to improve the quality of training of highly qualified specialists in the field of technosphere and fire safety, since the entire educational process implements the competence concept. The prospects of using an automated program to improve the efficiency of managing the training process using an electronic information educational environment are considered. The authors describe the concept of «Competence map of the student», and offer an automated program for displaying learning results in two forms: a table and a diagram. The results of evaluating the effectiveness of the formation of students’ competencies on the example of the discipline «Labor Protection» are presented.
